Aer Lingus American College Football Classic 2016
American College Football has been coming to Ireland since 1988. More recently it has become a biennial fixture in the Dublin event calendar and in September 2016 the Aer Lingus American College Football Classic took place in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
We engaged with the event promoters to provide a project management solution for the events’ venue and city brand delivery requirements which involved the managed of all aspects of the branding design, production and installation.
The main body of work involved delivering a seamless and integrated brand delivery solution for the three events of the week, namely the game venue, i.e. the Aviva Stadium, the Welcome Village in Trinity College Dublin and the Coca-Cola sponsored High School Showcase games which took place in Donnybrook Stadium on the eve of the main event.
The scope of the project included a full in-bowl signage solution as well as the tunnel, dressing, media and television areas. In addition, we provided a branding solution for the EPCR official hospitality function which took place in the Presidents Terrace.
The key objectives in terms of the Aviva Stadium’s brand delivery requirements were to create and roll-out the necessary design tools, i.e. an event ‘look & feel’, to drive revenues by maximising the Aviva Stadium’s commercial branding opportunities, to create a ‘wow’ factor through the stadium bowl’s brand delivery commensurate to an equivalent College Football game in America and to deliver the above cost effectively and to a premium quality.
